Brynne Aileen Wiegard (a/k/a "Baby Brynne") is here! She entered the world at 7:51 a.m. on Wednesday February 10, 2010 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
As the terrific nurses in the Labor and Delivery department rolled Courtney into the operating room, she asked me to guess Brynne's birth weight. I guessed 8 pounds, 6 ounces. Brynne weighted in at 8 pounds, 6.5 ounces. Nailed it!
Brynne entered the world screaming at the top of her lungs. She is as cute as her big sister, Elliott.

Courtney and Brynne are doing well. I say "well" because that is about as good as one can be five days post partum. Brynne is a well behaved baby. We are very blessed in that regard. We only wish that Brynne knew the difference between day and night. She sleeps peacefully for long stretches during the daylight hours, but she stays awake from 10:00 p.m. until dawn. Although we both know that Brynne will eventually sleep through the night, that knowledge does not make up for the lost sleep.
I promise to post more later, but for now, I have to take Brynne to Courtney for a post midnight feeding.
